Danilo Dirani qualified in pole position for the fourth round of the
championship by just fourteen hundredths of a second from Australian driver
Will Power. Nelson Piquet qualified a further six hundredths of a second
behind to line up in third.

Will Davison led the session early by setting his fastest lap of 1m 15.733s
in the first few minutes before James Rossiter, the pole-sitter for round
three, responded with a 1m 15.481s lap, a time that he could not get
anywhere near for the rest of the session and ultimately qualified in fifth
place.
