  For OS/2 LAN Server and OS/2 Peer I believe that the \\MACHINE\IPC$
  alias must be shared (the OS/2 Peer online user guide mentions it).

  For NetWare Client for OS/2, if I remember correctly, you must have
  specified named pipe support at install time.
