  You aren't by any chance using WinDefDlgProc as the default window
  procedure for your client window are you ?

  ( It's an ... unusual choice, but it's something that I can understand
    the novice doing.  Usually you would use WinDefWindowProc in the
    window procedure for the window class of your client area.  )

  If so, you *have* read (in the PM Guide and Reference) what happens when
  WinDefDlgProc receives a WM_COMMAND message, haven't you ?
