I hope you saw a reply I got from David Chessler, as I got it
backwards. It was write compatibility rather than read compatibility
that had a problem at first. It's now fixed via patch or updated
Service Releases.
*I* also like the easy customization of WP to suit MY needs rather than
what a software company thinks you might like. I also have a need to
make up training booklets that are printed both sides of a sub-divided
page. If anyone knows how to do that in Word97, I'd appreciate a
private netmail on how it's done. None of the secretaries who are
supposed to be 'expert' with Word have figured it out yet, which is
also one of the reasons I was able to convince my boss to stay with WP
vs Word for a while longer.
