1237b1b99993 dos_internet Hello Winston - BR>> I connect using PPPD and then am able to run Lynx, FTP BR>> (FTP07), WGet, etc. though I have a custom update proc for BR>> wattcp.cfg that makes this work along with iRex ... SH>> > You may want to pass on how you make it work to Greg SH>> > Mayman. WS> Me too! I am having trouble getting DOS LYNX to run in WS> anything but local mode.... Which version of PPPD ? CyrWin? WS> CMU EPPPD? Techinically PPPD is a *nix program (dialer and PPP launcher). EPPPD (the 'E' is significant here) is the DOS clone of the *nix PPPD. LSPPP is the other 'mainstream' binary to dial and launch a DOS PPP packet connect to an ISP. One more letter for EPPPD or two more letters for LSPPP will really help keep replies ontrack? "DOS Lynx" can be DOSLYNX that Fred MaCall has recently updated or it can be the DOS version of LYNX known as LYNX386? LYNX, again, is technically the name for the *nix binary textmode browser. ;-) WS> LS PPPD? Which release of DOS LYNX ? Which are the WS> important set up symbols for configuration/initialization WS> (dialup/dsl/netbootp) ? Thanks Setup for the two DOS versions of 'lynx' are totally different from each other. Which one are you using (at this time)? The setup for DOS PPP connects can vary and is determined as much by the ISP you try to connect to as by hardware or other software. :-\ > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
