If the query is not updatable (for example a query including an aggregate
function), you can't use it to enter or modify data anyway. You could bind
a form to such a query, but that would be a form that was only used to
DISPLAY data.

If the query is updatable and you use it as the source of a form, the form
is bound and you can use it to enter data.

There is no reason you can't make an UNBOUND data entry form, then in the
code for your "save" button you define where which data goes.  
But
by definition any form created with the wizard is going to be a bound form,
because the wizard asks you what you want to use as the source.
