No idea, but I would look for code behind the form (i.e. the code that runs
when you click Save) and search for any "On Error Resume Next"
statements (comment them out).

Also, I would add something to Save (e.g. MsgBox "In Save") to
prove that the code really runs when you click Save. (I guess it must
sometimes, because you say it works with manual data...).
