Hello Brenton,

 BV> Hi Paul,

 BV> Has the world stopped and I didn't notice ???

 Yes. :-)

 BV> When I did a mail run a little while ago, I only got one packet
 BV> which was about 10k. There were a few messages in Loc_Sysop and
 BV> Loc_User which mentioned something about you being de-nodelisted but
 BV> as I wasn't following the thread previously, I missed it.

 BV> What's up ?
 BV> Is TML and Aust_Avtech dead ?

 TML has been denodelisted for 6 weeks (ending about mid May).

 This is a re-post of a message that you probably have missed:

===============================================================================
 For those who wish to point of my system,

 Please note that I am running a 14.4 modem, and will go back to a higher
speed if I can work out how to get v34 and fax working at the same time.
Reliably.

 I will be keeping your original point numbers, simply change yourself from
3:711/934.x to 3:712/610.x, or you can leave your 934.x address in if you
want to run a dual point system.
 If you elect to run a dual (or more) point system make sure the origin line
on your echos does NOT go out as 3:711/934.x

 I need:

 For you to crash a netmail to me, with a password. This password will be
used for the session level transfers, mail packet password, and area request
password.

 After this, you have to wait for me to set it up, I will be processing
incoming orders as they come in (time permitting), so there is a good chance
you will be operational next day.

 Once you are set up here, to request echos, send a netmail thusly:

========================
 To:   Areafix
 Add:  3:712/610
 Subj: password (use your selected password here)
========================
%HELP (sends you help on your next poll)
+AUST_AVTECH
+LOCUSER
+WHATEVER_ECHO_AREA
========================

 Files are the same, except like this:

========================
 To:   Allfix
 Add:  3:712/610
 Subj: password (use your selected password here)
========================
%HELP (sends you help on your next poll)
+BBSLIST
+NODEDIFF
+WHATEVER_FILE_AREA
========================

 You can freq 610AVAIL.ZIP (40Kb) for a list of mail and file echos.
(1200+ echomail areas, and 970+ file areas).
 Note the %LIST command for areafix only gives you a list of available areas
here, not *all* available areas. Please freq 610AVAIL.ZIP for that. (sorry).
 Allfix for files gives you both.

 By default, you will receive LOCUSER and LOCSYOP echomail areas, and no file
areas. Note I am currently NOT attached to AUST_AVTECH via paul's system,
avtech here now only goes via normal channels, and I will not be importing or
exporting avtech from paul's system.

 To converse with other points on paul's system, you can either use
LOCUSER/LOCSYSOP or you *can* route netmail to 3:711/934.x via here.
 Currently, mine is the ONLY node (that I know of) that routes netmail to
paul.

 And again, for those who freely participate in echomail, please make sure
your origin line reflects your new address, NOT the old one.

 Freq FILES for a brief file list.
      NODELIST for the current full nodelist.
      NODEDIFF for the current node difference list.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================

 As an addendum for the above, %LIST requests to areafix for mail now lists
*ALL* available areas, where before it was only areas present on my system.
 Also and I say this in hindsight, unless you work with your mail software
intimately, if you intend on using a dual-point system, I would recommend
against it, as people have had trouble changing software that was working
perfectly in the past few years.
 All issues with my points have been sorted out, but to save time and possible
lost mail, it may be easier to just change over completely.
