Documentation..... You mean some people actually DO that.. :)

My code is understandable by me, other humans, who knows.. heh..

That actually ranks as one of the reasons that I do not release
code to the public. Since I learned to program the same way I
learned to work on computer hardware, the hard way, I never used
any of the processes that most people learn in school.

But then, I've looked at code distributed by big companies like
Microsoft and their "professional" coders waste time and resources
on things that are not needed all day long. At least that's the
way it appears too me.

Yeah, that's basically what I ment. I guess he could haved asked Kevin
or Scott or someone to find someone to take it over, but I got the
impression his life just got busy and he didn't have the time to look
for someone or to answer a lot of questions about how things work.

With a project of this size and the fact he'd already ported it to OS2
and was working on a Win32 version of the code, that's a lot of units
and libraries and such to sort through. It might take him a month
just to sort through what needed to be handed over. Not including
any time taken to try and fix/explain things he was in the middle of
working on.

I usually keep a backup of my entire code the day I release something,
I then make a copy of what I have to a new directory and start on
the next version. I'm not sure how most people do things like that
so I honestly don't know all that would be involved with trying to
get the TG code ready for someone else to work on.

All of this time and effort on a product that essentially is in working
order (minus the pentium timing bug when installing). If the BBS
scene was still booming I could see making the time to work on it or
pass it on to someone else. But in it's current state, I don't think
I would spend the time on it if I were him.
