| subject: | Color Syntax Highlighting |
ML> Try LPEX (Live Parsing Editor) from IBM. It is a 32-bit editor for ML> OS/2 that does color syntax highlighting for a number of languages ML> (including PL/I, C, JCL, RC, and REXX) recognizing which one you fed it ML> from the file extension. It does line-by-line syntax checking as it ML> goes, and it can be modified with REXX scripts. LPEX comes in CSD#2 for ML> the PL/I for OS/2 toolkit (which doesn't help you much if you don't do ML> PL/I ), and can be found on DevCon 9 as part of the VA C++ package (I ML> don't know if it will vanish after the 60 days!). If you've got an ML> updated VA C++ (the editor filedate is 11-07-95) it should be in there, ML> somewhere. ML> Its only trouble is that it is a PM text editor, an oxymoron if I ML> ever heard one, with all the ills of such beasts. But if you like EPM, ML> you may prefer this one. This sounds useful... I'll be looking on DevCon9 for it! Now to find out if it can PRINT in syntax-highlighted colour... --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Tanktalus' Tower BBS (PVT) (1:342/708) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 342/708 5015 61 3615/50 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
