 How do, Ardith?

JB>> I suspect a kid that wonders is much the same ball of wax.

JB> See... I was pushing my pain threshold, and now I spot all
JB> sorts of idiocy. I had originally typed "wander" and on
JB> first revision *corrected* it to "wonder."

AH> Not to worry... I've marked a lot of grade eight English
AH> papers in my time, so I knew what you meant! I generally apply fuzzy
AH> logic to the spellings other people use when I'm trying to
AH> understand what they're saying. If it's my duty to correct
AH> their spelling, or if they've specifically asked me to do
AH> that, I'll consciously focus on left brain input & re-read
 AH> the material... [chuckle].

LOL! I've been meaning to check into the English_Tutor echo, just to sort
some things out that I never bothered to learn. No need for you to bring
your work home with you. (Even though I know your profession always does.
|-)

AH> I often wait until the next day to post whatever I've
AH> written because I'm more likely to notice certain errors that way
AH> too. But in a lot of cases I don't see them until they've
AH> scanned out, and I feel very embarrassed.... :-))

See, that's what's missing when I tear up, (Guess that could read two
ways.) and feel the need for speed. (Securing the Hinton goggles. ;-)

AH> P.S. I identify with people who wonder. Recently Nora has
AH> been saying "I have a weird question for you." I keep
AH> assuring her I love weird questions.... ;-)

How sweet!

I was invited into a seniors support group, and was floored when a couple
of them said, "I have a silly question." or "This is likely
a stupid question." I thought that that kind of embarrassment was only
for the young foolish types, but there they were...
