Hello Paul,

PE> It's on again! Once again it looks like I'll be kicked out of
PE> fidonet by a petty, fascist NC. Once again I'll fight it all the way,
PE> but I'd suggest sniffing around for alternative sources of mail for
 PE> backup. BFN. Paul.

 Sorry, I couldn't help laughing. :-)

I take it is an effect of discussing what's left of the FTSC?

Try something different, you should have told them to get stuffed and
invented your own standards that are backward compatible, released it to the
outside world and wait till everyone adopts it anyway. After being reviewed
by the chairman that didn't know he was appointed in the first place, it gets
magically documented by a committee that doesn't exist, the resulting FTSC
documents contain standards that must be strictly adhered to if one wishes
write software and/or utilities for use in fidonet.

No wait, that's how it works now. Sorry.
