Hello Ross. 25 Apr 06 18:28, you wrote to me: >>>> Ah yes, that old ploy. Use the company's phone and electricity. WD>>> Does it matter to you? MV>> In a way it does. Read on... He was caught out MV>> and lost his job. RC> Are you assuming that its the same in this case? The history of FidoNet is full of sysops being "creative" in solving their phone bill problems. Many got away with it, some lost their jobs or had their company go bankrupt. It would be naive to assume this is no longer happening in those areas where POTS is still a significant factor. So let's I am offering the reader the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others. MV>> I knew about the gizmo but said nothing. In retrospect I felt MV>> guilty over not having told him he was out of line. MV>> I'd rather not repeat that mistake. RC> It wasnt your mistake. I knew about it and in a way I profited from it by accepting the mail coming in via that link. That made me an assessor. He c'mon, you guys keep telling mne I never admit to making a mistake. Don't deny me this one.... Michiel --- GoldED+/W32-MSVC 1.1.5-b20060315* Origin: http://www.vlist.org (2:280/5555) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 280/5555 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
