The history of FidoNet is full of sysops being "creative" in
solving their phone bill problems. Many got away with it, some lost their
jobs or had their company go bankrupt. It would be naive to assume this is
no longer happening in those areas where POTS is still a significant
factor.

So let's I am offering the reader the opportunity to learn from the
mistakes of others.

I knew about it and in a way I profited from it by accepting the mail
