Hello Paul,

PE> I just posted messages + the two decent responses I received from my
PE> query about implementing stuff using internet protocols. BFN. Paul.

It all sounds like a good idea. Do you have the rfc-822 & 1036 documents up
for freq?

Another point I'd like to mention, in newsgroups (echos whatever) there is no
"TO" line, to check if you have any mail directed to yourself, you have to
look manually. When I had internet newsgroups gated, all echos were addressed
to "ALL", which I found rather annoying at times, it was difficult to find
out who was responding to who.
They mention one should be using a threaded newsreader, but when the mail is
gated, all this threading info is removed/cleaned off, and no fido reader
uses it anyway.

I haven't been playing around with it much at all, but i was going to suggest
RFC822 type packets for mail anyway. IMO, it would make it more flexible, as
you don't have binary headers stuck to one type of addressing, where changing
is difficult (need for kludges), and reading straight text is somewhat easier
for problem solving anyway.
