Barbra, a weed can be any plant not wanted in a area you are tending. I
planted some Johnny-Jump-ups and they quickly turned out to be a weed
in the area I was hoping to be a prennial garden. Johnny-Jump-Ups have
a small purple two tone flower and the seeds from that plant multiply
like crazy. Took several years to get rid of that weed. Morning Glories
are weeds around this neck of the woods, but other folks plant them for
their profusly blooming ability. Bermuda grass is a weed if you are
trying to grow fescue grass. I think crab grass is a weed to everyone
unless you are a person that knows no difference between Fescue,
bermuda, or dandalions, and wild onions that gives you something to
mow . Simply put a weed is a plant you do not wish to see growing
where it is presently flourisning.
