One of the odd things I came across is that almost every land has
'crawfish' ¨but they vary more than that little factoid would make you
think.  The Japanese ¨type taste awful to me.  They don't look the same
either but are a related ¨species.

I rather am looking forward to having them again when I get back to the USA.

I don't know how close in taste the European ones would be so cant tell. 
The ¨USA ones are like strongly flavorful bits of lobster tail.
