Nope.  It has to do with some odd affiliation between NTT (Japan) and
Canada.  ¨If it were the DSN, I'd find USA cheaper but they are twice the
cost for me.  I ¨also get a better connection to Canada for some really
wierd reason.  That one ¨I am not sure about.

However, as we enter hotter times, I can watch the signal degrade slightly
and ¨i know from experience it will get worse.  We are pretty sure here
that it's at ¨least partly related to the base Communications office gear
and the AC unit ¨overloading.  Good enough for voice still, but we start
getting data rate ¨errors.

Yes, but on an unrelated system.  I have tested a few softwares for the
WINbox ¨that has the only internet connection, but not been satisfied
enough yet with ¨the stability.  It's not just the BBS crashing, it's that
it crashes my ¨lifeline of email to the family when underway with it.

On the stability side, I liked best BBBS running under SuSe 9.1 so far but
have ¨to maintain the WIN side for the family.  Grin, specifically the
hubby actually ¨as Charlotte is as happy with SuSe as WIN.
