       I think I have the answer.  Back in the NES and SNES days, they only 
used MegaBITs to determine size.  In the 32-bit age, they turned to 
megaBYTEs.  Nintendo still uses megaBITs (the old stuff) for some reason not 
known to me.  Just like Nintendo still uses carts (the old stuff).
