Apparently it was Livgren who was most responsible for
the Gentle Giant influence on Kansas. It's interesting
that Livgren and GG keyboardist Kerry Minnear (and what a
coincidence about the names, eh?) both became born again
Christians. Rick Wakeman, too. I wonder if there's
something about playing prog keyboards that makes them
find religion and stay skinny as they age, whereas bass
players tend to get fat (Greg Lake, Chris Squire).
