I've tried that but couldn't come up with anything 100% satisfactory.
Any font large enough to completely eliminate the frame is too large for
the screen and runs off the end, requiring a scrollbar at the bottom.
 
I found a fair compromise, which leaves a small frame around the edges
and the font still large enough to be readable, so guess I can live with
that.
