-> I know that after Valentino left the gurdians book with issue 27, A
-> lot of the readers left with him, butthey did have some exceptional
-> issues, such as issue 48, starring Simon, in what I felt was his VERY
-> best solo adventure ever to see print. See, he was taken out of the
-> conflect of "The war of the worlds" As shown in Amazing Adventures
-> 18-39, from 73 to 76. He was painted as a coward supreme, with the
-> joke being "why did they call him WONDER man? Because when earth
-> needed him most, they all WONDERED where he had gone" A bitter wound
-> in his soul, that haunts him for a thousand years. This, is his
-> finest hour, his greatest
-> chaaracter developement issue ever done with him, even if of an
-> alternative future. One of the best battle issues marvels ever done.
-> the character shines in it.It wraps up, with covens song from
-> 71,"One tin soldier" quoted, I believe. If only all the gurdians
-> issues could have been so excellent as this issue!
I remember Wonder Man from old issues of the Avengers but I haven't read
a comicbook in 6 years.
What's this stuff about him being "taken out" of a *Conflict*?
I've been out of touch for a while.
In any case,I never thought of him as a coward.
I still remember when he was a member of the Avengers with Hank McCoy.
He was one of their best members as far as I'm concerned.
