No - no - no... Please don't misunderstand.  Bob never said a word to me 
about this echo.  I've actually been lurking here for a very long time 
(about a year).  I have OE on my PC here at work, and on occasion - when I'm 
not busy - I'll bring it up.  I have about 6 echos I keep track of and this 
is one of them (but not every day).  I was just tired of reading all the 
rants about Bob - it was getting pretty ridiculous.  Earl - I don't talk to 
Bob any more often than I talk to you and he never asked me to intervene. If 
he had, I wouldn't have done it anyway.

Also - my comments were just that - comments; subjected to the peanut 
gallery - they are still just comments. Isn't that what this Fidonet shit is 
all about anyway?  Ed has asked me to leave - and of all the comments I've 
made and read today (and yesterday) that was the most insulting to me.

If a differing opinion is not wanted, if you don't want an opposing point of 
view, then you have the perfect echo.  If you enjoy an opposing point of 
view, then you (as the moderator) should moderate those who ask others to 
leave simply because they don't agree with their opposing view.

You and I have always gotten along Earl, and this banter is good.  I 
appreciate your work and I simply hope this echo becomes more popular with 
more interesting topics (other than Bob).
