Exactly. Canned biscuits use palm and soybean oil. Mine use either
butter or lard depending on the taste profile I want and what
they are going to be served with.
Commercial pancake mixes have partially hydrogenated (trans fats)
soybean and cottonseed oil, powdered skim milk and powdered
dehydrated eggs. Mine have real butter, fresh milk and fresh eggs.

Title: Serviceman's Special Candy

Yield: 70 Pieces
2 c Granulated sugar
1 c Cream - can use 1/2 and 1/2
1 tb Butter
1 1/2 x 1 oz squares bitter chocolate
1 ts Vanilla
1 lb Marshmallows
1 c Nuts, chopped
3 c Graham cracker crumbs
In a large saucepan combine sugar, cream, butter, chocolate, and
vanilla. Cook to soft ball stage (234 F). Remove from fire and
beat in the remaining ingredients. Spoon into a buttered 9 x 13
inch pan. Press firmly, then cut into squares. This candy is
excellent for mailing and can be left uncut for easier packaging.
Makes about 70 pieces.
