I think the pnp handling gets muddled sometimes even though looking for
conflicts turns up none. That's the wierd part! Do you set your pnp os
switch on or off in the bios? Could it be a symptom of win's handler
fighting the bios handler? I always set it off but could try it on for a
looksee if you don't have any dire warnings about it.
