I used to have some manuals that had a lot of foldout pages, where that kind of thing would come in handy. Reminds me too of this place I worked at for a while that had a photocopier that was picked because it was *very* good at fine detail (the one partner was an engineer), and it used *rolls* of paper rather than sheets. You could put in either an 8-1/2" wide roll for most normal copies, or an 11" wide roll for the foldout stuff. It was also handy for smaller stuff, you'd just slide this pointer over to the size you wanted, and it'd cut the paper at that size.
