subject: That`s Ozzy Post!

While discussing the paradoxes involved in using Christians as lightning
conductors on church steeples, Steve Corry said this about That's Ozzy Post!

 G'day Steve,

 >> Suspenders?? What game are you playing? Sounds more like Bedroom Olympiad

SC> Suspenders being the suspension! It was good. Shame you could never

Actually, I knew what you meant. Anyone in here remember Bedroom Olympiad?
Derek, you'd be bound to have a copy around somewhere, wouldn't you mate? ;)

SC> force the computer off the track!

You're not wrong. They get tough after a while. Real tough in the
Superleague.

SC> I understand there's an Amiga Emulator for the PC. I wander how good
 SC> it really is.

I've seen a couple of bigmouths gloating about it in various Amiga
newsgroups for the past couple of weeks. My understanding is that with a
Pentium 166 or better they can run WB1.2 to some degree. I'll try and find
out more of what they're on about.

 >> Not me. I'm going to dive in feet first, eyes closed and hope for the

SC> I'm saving for something else right now, so the PC will have to be
SC> targetted late next year some time.

PC? Ack. It'll either be another Amiga or a BeBox for me. If they fail then
I'll stay with my 4k until it's too far behind and then pack it up. I often
think about packing it all in but..........

 >> recovered? If everybody who wanted a new Amiga had bought one instead of
 >> hanging back, things could possibly be a little different.

SC> I was hoping they'd bring out something a little new. The prices were
SC> astoundingly high. 4K for a repackaged 4000, which had less features

Agreed. I certainly can't justify what was done.

SC> same priced PC. As the once great 'P'inch used to say, Shame! Shame!
 SC> Shame!

:-(((

[Settlers]

 >> A good game. Very system hungry though. Someone in here mentioned

SC> Settlers was amazing. All those dudes doing dudey things, without ever
SC> slowing down like Sim City.

A damn sight harder though. I actually borrowed Sim City about a month ago.
Damn it brought back some memories. It worked witout problem on my 4k too.

 >> month period where we both had sleepless nights after playing DuneII
 >> intensly and saw nothing but tanks upon getting to sleep. ;-)

SC> That used to happen with Sim. All you could see were traffic queues
 SC> and buildings popping up!

And monsters burning buildings and earthquakes and plane crashes and ... :-)

Catchya,
