Hello Paul,
PE> The (potential) lie is that he had the ZC's backing to excommunicate

Yes, I remember that one. DM had publically mentioned that he had backing
from the *Cs he had asked. He didn't say *majority* backing, just backing.
Ted had afterwards mentioned that he was one who did not support it.
I'll drege up that message from DN you mentioned, and I'll have a look to
see if I can find any more for/against from DN.
[Couple of hours later]
I've looked through most of the messages from DN, and all of them mention
trying to be subjective if it ever gets to him, he does not agree with public
postings of policy complaints, and says that may sway the end desicion one way
or another depending on the situation.
Ultamately, his _general_ comment is that he does not agree with the type of
thing DM has done. Note that I had to gather that from general comment, other
things he says may sway the result one way or another depending.
So far, as far as what *I* think DN has decided on this particular case,
I don't know. Short of asking him, I'll probably never know unless he makes
a public comment on it.
After much thinking about it, my head is starting to hurt, this is getting
all too political for me. I joined fido as a hobby, not for any other reason,
if the power mongers want more from me, they can stick it up their bums for
all I care. So there.
