Taber corn:

Corn requires a lot of heat as well as sunlight and is only grown in
Canada in any significant amount in southern Ontario and in Quebec
south of the St. Laurence River. But in southern Alberta near the
Montana border the town of Taber in Taber county manages to grow
some sweet corn commercially. Alberta is very proud of this but in
all honesty their corn is not all that wonderful, according to this
Ontario boy.

But here's a corn recipe from there anyway:

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Traditional Corn Pie
Categories: Pies, Corn, Potatoes, Eggs, Dairy
      Yield: 6 Servings

     12 Ears fresh corn
      4 md Potatoes, diced
      1 md Onion, chopped
      2 c Water
      1 c Celery, chopped
4 Hard boiled eggs, fine chop
      1 c Milk
      4 tb Butter or margarine
      1 Pie crust

Cook corn in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes. Drain and allow
to cool. When cool enough to handle, cut kernels from cobs.

Cook potatoes, celery, and onion in water until potatoes are done,
about 15 minutes. Drain water. Add corn, chopped eggs, milk, and
butter. Simmer until butter is melted and ingredients are well
combined. Pour into prepared pie shell and bake at 375 F. for
30-40 minutes, or until golden browned on top.

... Heatless habaneros. That'll benefit society as much as seedless corn.
