DD> The GPS told me "You have arrived" and I was nowhere near the
DD> right address ... Two and a half blocks later I saw her waving.
Michael used to disparage the accuracy of GPS too. I have never had
a problem with them. I wonder why Canadian ones in Canada are more
reliable.
The only time I didn't arrive at a place I planned to right on the
button was the last time I was in the interior of B.C. approaching a
small town when we were hungry. I asked it for the nearest Mexican
restaurant not expecting any but it found one in the nearby time
right on the main highway. So I followed its directions and when it
said, "you have arrived" I pulled into a motel. Sure enough it had a
restaurant. When we got inside it was obvious from the name, the
staff and the menu that they served Indian food. I asked the
waitress if they had just taken over the place very recently and she
said, no. Her parents had been running the place for 11 years. I
said I expected Mexican food. She laughed and said they were right
next door. Sure enough when I got out and looked around, the two
driveways off the main road were just 10 feet apart! So, we had an
nice Indian meal that evening.
