Hello Tom, it is a lovely day today.
TW> Well it depends on what you are dojng. IF you do much copying from a
TW> CD ROM to a CD-RW it is best to have the two CD's on seperate IDE
TW> cables.
JP> But I do not doubt that the Slave HD might be pulling all down
JP> at ATA 33 vs ATA 100 on the Master.
TW> I think that slow down only happened with the Older Hard Drives. I
TW> thought I heard that problem was solved and the two hard drives can
TW> operate at different speeds with little to no slow down for the Faster
TW> device.
Not mine. My D:\ is a 4 gig 2.5" IBM HD meant for a laptop. It
sits in a removeable drawer. I have had it 3 years, second hand
from eBay. I ignore how old it would be. When I got it, it was
my BIG HD, now superseeded by a new ( 1 year ) 30 gigger.
