Now *THAT* would be real handy...!

I expect that once I get a scanner,  it'll happen sooner or later that I'll
want to get something into the machine that's too big to do in one pass. 
And just exactly how I'm going to tackle putting multiple images together
to make one big one I don't know just yet.

Was this scanner way more expensive than typical units are?
