no! how many times do i have to say it? my system pulls the connection info
from the contact number field in the nodelist...

000-0-0-0-0 is flatly blocked and must be overridden with a valid entry if
my system is to contact that one via IP...

the override, FWIW, actually ends up in the contact number field in FD's
nodelist database...

too many are making a mountain out of a molehill on this... too many are
also pointing to software that gets this IP info from other places in a
nodelist entry but they are ignoring or disregarding the fact that this
other software was written these kludges were proposed and specifically
kludged to pull that information from those other places... there's nothing
like the "chicken and egg" argument to base one's argument on...
