PE>> You have successfully used your mobile to collect mail before, PE>> presumably you will be able to do so again. BV> One minor problem. I've already packed the PCMCIA card which has the BV> interface to the mobile, and I don' tknow what box it's in. PE> Any more hurdles you want to put up?! Ok, next set of solutions: Yeah, the bloody "fixed mobile" that Telstra have delivered is a piece of shit. It has a standard line interface for a fax machine and it was a bugger to get the modem to work with it at all. PE> 1. You dash around a lot to other people's workplaces, so take your PE> laptop to those places (assuming you have a laptop) and plug in there. I'm not that keen on doing that for a few reasons. My PCMCIA modem is an older 14k4 model amd wasn't very good either (the price was right tho). I should be getting a newer 33k6 model sometime next week and as I have Win-95 on my notebook, I don't want to load the driver crap for the old one 'coz you can never find it to remove it. IOW, E-mail just ain't worth that much to me (in terms of aggravation later). PE> 2. When you get to your new place, unpack your boxes (are you at your PE> new place yet - unpack your boxes!). I've got a few unpacked, but I can't go crazy yet because the blokes who are building my desks in the office haven't finished yet. As such, I've only unpacked what is absolutely necessary. PE> 4. Whilst relaxed, try some computer-telepathy. PE> Think d:\bbs\binkley\outbound\02c703a6.pnt\0000fff9.*. PE> Currently there is a .mo0 which is 0-bytes long and a .mo1 which PE> is 4111 bytes long. Think unzip, think 483d9f06.pkt. Now, remember PE> that messages start with 0x02, 0x00, and then scan through the headers. PE> What can you see? A lot of corruption. Oh well, probably wasn't important anyway. I got most of it, but there was definitely some rubbish there too, unless the folks in Oz_Cripples are trying to blow-up my Netmail area. PE> That's right, a whole lot of messages from Frank Malcolm. There were a few but none of them were addressed to me.
