This is a hard question, not a dumb one.  If the window is hung at Ring 3,
then you can force it closed.  Applying the just-released FixPack 17 and
enabling the single input queue fix from CONFIG.SYS might help.  If,
however, a thread is hung at Ring 0 because it called into a device driver,
you will likely be unable to kill it without rebooting.
