-=> Quoting mark lewis to Tom Walker <=- ml> shock and awe, in my mind, would have been similar in nature to the ml> 'nam era carpet bombing from B52s where literally thousands of bombs ml> were dropped on a target... only in this case, they would all have ml> been GPS guided... that first night's surprise bombing would have not ml> only taken out saddam's son but saddam as well if he was there and ml> that place they were in would have been nothing but a smoking ml> crater... i could just see numerous B52's dropping several hundred GPS ml> guided bombs on one building... whoa! Sorry to be so late in replying, but it does give the advantage of an update. The reports are that the site of the first night's bombing is that not only did Saddam & Sons survive, but that apparently there wasn't even a bunker or other refuge on the site. Since the intelligence that there was, and that they were they, precipitated the first attack of the war, obviously there was some sort of intelligence (or maybe technical--GPS related?) failure. --- Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 [NR]* Origin: Nerve Center: Source of the ELECTRONICS echo!
