There are those who own books detailing what much of the
registry code is there for but I can't imagine wanting to look
all that up each time myself? 

I did hack the registry here for awhile until I ran out of
obvious choices and started getting into those long letter and
number coded IDs and I just gave up on it. Someone would have
to be paying me to make it worthwhile and even then I'd get
sick of it eventually.
