PF> int _CreateSem(FASTSEM *, int StateOwned); PF> int _RequestSem(FASTSEM *); PF> int _ReleaseSem(FASTSEM *); PF> int _CloseSem(FASTSEM *); TS> And where are they defined? Or is this just an TS> "internal" feature of the compiler and runtime TS> library? Can it be used with other compilers? They are undocumented (and therefore not defined in any header you & I get). They are unique to IBM's compiler. Mario pointed out that VAC++ ver 3.0 has a documented fast semaphore now (but I was unable to find it in the online manual). I would suggest that anyone using either of these place them in wrapper functions/macros so that the system sems can easily be replaced if you switch to another compiler. --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: Sol 3 * Toronto * V.32 * (905)858-8488 (1:259/414) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 259/414 400 99 250/99 3615/50 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
