AF> I am a university student doing an assignment on the types of computer
AF> skills which students should learn at secondary school which will help
AF> them in the wide world of work or tertiary education. What is your
AF> opinion?
I think they should learn to use software which allows them to do practical
things... organize and analyze information, for example, or find resources,
or do design and planning activities.
AF> What about the types of computer programs that are useful for the
students
AF> to use while learning these skills?
Most contemporary packages are helpful. I have used ClarisWorks, MSWorks,
MSOffice, various Compuworks applications, RoboCad... programs like that.
The new Corel Office Suite is helpful now, because it integrates Internet
applications with the Office software intuitively, and I've always liked
Quattro.
AF> I would love to hear from you as to
AF> your opinion, since you were so kind as to reply to an associate of mine
AF> on her assignment. looking forward to hearing from your reply, amber.
I guess I've become required reading in Sydney... ;-]
Let me know how you're doing.
