Perhaps if you had the RIGHT ECHO (This is the OS/2 programming echo,
where we discuss writing OS/2 programs. The OS/2 hardware echo is
called OS2HW.) you would have already solved your problem.

Several people have reported success with Novaback 2.01 for OS/2 and the
CMS Jumbo 250 sans tape controller board. IBM DualStor for OS/2 is also
reported to work with the CMS 250 DJ-250.

Colorado Backup for OS/2 was released in January 1995 (that's a YEAR
AGO), which (surprise surprise) fully supports all of the CMS Jumbo and
  Trakker range.

For information on all of the above (including who owns what -- I'm
never quite up to date with the "dynamic world of the tape hardware
business"), ask in the FIDONET OS2HW echo.

I leave you with what I said on the 5th January 1995 :

JdeBP> Frankly, from experience with far more Jumbo tape units than a sane
JdeBP> person can be reasonably be expected to stand (half of which had to be
JdeBP> sent back at one stage or another) I personally avoid Jumbo like the
JdeBP> plague these days.
