I use whatever the book I'm getting the load from specifies.
I have heard the arguements about using different primers with different
powders but why screw around? Both regular and magnum primers cost the
same. FWIW, all the loads I am currently using specify magnum primers.

Assuming in reloading is a good way to become left handed against your
will. IMHO, let the reloading pros who write the books do the
experimenting.
