Hello quilters,
I have never quilted before. I don't want to do a full blanket, but
just a small one that you hang on the wall.
My idea is to use the shirts that my sons wore when they were younger,
such as when Bobby worked at Putt-Putt, and has a shirt with the
logo on it. I thought I'd cut a 6" square with the logo from the
shirt, for a square. Chris worked at Subway, and has a jacket with
the logo on it. He also has a Dominos shirt, and I'd like to make
squares from all these things, to make a hanging quilt. They also
have band and sports clothes I can get squares from.
What do you think of this idea? I'd like to make one each for the
2 boys. Another idea with this, is to transfer a photo of Chris
and Bobby and some of their friends pictures in different activities
as squares.
Does this sound do-able to a non-quilter? I'd really like to give
it a shot. They would be like memory quilts for the boys.
I need some help here, some encouragement! I'm a little chicken,
but desparately want to try it. Thanks for any ideas and help.
take care,
Wanda
