That would require time-travel.
Messy, especially, since the planet would no longer be the Machine World
encountered by Voyager 6 anymore, when Voyager 6 arrives at the planet. So,
you've built yourself a temporal paradox.
(ofcourse StarTrek is full of them, that somehow get resolved)
