I think your screwed. I think Quake will kick the **** out of Duke. The way
John Romero explains the game makes it sound awesome. Duke just didnt feel
like an ID game does. When I had the Quake public beta I probably played that
more than I do Duke. I dont play Duke at all really, I just played it when I
first got it so I can see what all the new levels are like, I really didnt
find anything too excitingly new in this game. When you play Duke you dont
even care whats aroundd the next corner. Quakes monsters are WAY better than
Dukes by far, they are smarter and they are much better looking. I saw one
message where one guy said "whats the point of monsters ducking in Duke when
there is an auto aim?" I totally agree with that, Duke just isnt fun for me
anymore. I only have the game to play it over modem really and thats it.
Quake sounds like it will be a fun game to play by yourself. The Quake
character is even better than the Duke character, for one thing the guy in
Quake is actually breathing when you walk close to him, when you walk up to
Duke he looks like a cardboard cutout, he doesnt move at all. I still like
Duke and all but when Quake comes out Duke will not have a slight chance.
From the pictures i've seen of Quake it already looks better. I cant wait for
Quake to come out. Well, I just thought I would tell you how I felt, thanks.
