Ease of use and ease of maintenance were what I was going for.  (Plus a
three minute learning curve.)  I'm trying to add support for multiple
compilers without increasing complexity.  I think a default compiler
(selected from a list and saved), plus a "#use watcom" type line
at the top (optional, otherwise it uses the default) sounds about right...

I won't have time to work on this until I get to Austin, though.  (End of
the month.)  I'm home right now to bug the various utilities into switching
off the phone and electricity and stuff after I leave.  I should probably
stop procrastinating with fido and do that...
