Hi All , hope you are having a nice day
What speed is an external motorola modemsurfr model 3456 ext ms us,
and what type of wallwart does it need to work? I popped it open and
there's a bridge rectifier so I know it's AC at the least but that's it.
I could also use the drivers ('specially dos ones) for a trio of
wheelmice I got. One is a marked as a m$ intellimouse serial or ps/2
compatible, part# 68574 fcc-id# c3kkzb1 and has a ps/2 connector
Second is a genius scrollmouse, fcc-id# fsugmzfv.
Last (and the best) is a logitech optical mouse, model m-bj58
w/ a usb connector and a usb-ps/2 adapter. Again it's a scroll/wheel
mouse.
The m$ and genius work but only as regular mice on the laptop since
I don't have the right drivers to setup the wheel part. The logitech
otoh worked just fine as a usb wheelmouse w/ the default driver in
98fe. I don't know abt how it'll do w/ the usb-ps/2 adapter as one of
the pins was bent over double and I haven't gotten it straightened
out yet. (being real careful w/ it. it's a solid pin not hollow so
it's stronger but to much flexing is still bad)
Oh, fwiw I also picked up a complete AltecLansing AVS300 speaker
set for $5. 2 spkrs plus subwoofer and wallwart. ];>
The modem and m$/logitech mice were $1ea too. ]]:>
