subject: Great new OS/2 project, developers wanted!

Hello everybody!

The organizer of the project - I know him personally - asked me to forward
this message into Fidonet. (As the text only speaks of e-mail, I'd like to
add that at least one of the organizers, Andreas Neukoetter, can also be
reached via Fidonet at 2:246/1008.)

Kind regards,
Tobias.

Developers wanted!

What we want to do:
===================
We are planning to port a bigger bundle of software (released under GPL)
from Linux to OS/2. This package is essential for some other projects and
will definitely speed them up or even make them possible at all. The
results will be released under GPL, too, as stated in GPL (beside of this,
we think this is only best for it, anyway).

Who we are:
===========
Until now, there are three german OS/2-enthusiasts (with programming
experience, of course) who want to support OS/2 and all the other
developers. Up to this point we did some time and capacity planning. Now
it's time to get additional manpower :-)

Who we need:
============
If you are interested in our project and meet at least one of the points
stated below, you are encouraged to contact us (see further down). You will
then get a lot more information. Ok, skills we need are:
* emx gcc
* OS/2 Presentation Manager programming with emx gcc
* porting of Linux software to OS/2 (exspecially PM)
* knowledge of cvs
* knowledge of gtk/gdk/glib

How to contact us:
==================
If you are interested in helping: feel free to send us a mail. If you are
interested in the result: please be patient, it's still a little bit of
time until then. (But you already can subscribe to our info-maillinglist.
simply send an email to: everblue-info{at}egroups.com.)

Your e-mail should contain in short
* which of the above points you meet
* your experience in programming
* perhaps examples of software you did before
* your location
* and your age - primary to satisfy our curiosity :-)

The header of your mail should look like this:
To: r.auberger{at}gmx.net
Subject: Everblue

Further information:
====================
We have set up a webpage located at http://62.144.158.186/everblue/ where
you can find latest news and subscribe to an anouncement list. Please
note: This page will be online from monday, December 21st 1998, afternoon.

Thanks for your interest and in advance for your support
