G'day,

I haven't been following this as closely as I should have, so I am a little
confused.

If I understand it properly, they have nailed Pauline, and David for not
correctly registering the One Nation political party. As it is being reported,
you must have 500 members to register a political party, and they had 500 names
who the gubbermint are claiming were supporters, and not paid-up members. Now,
if the party didn't exist, which it couldn't until it had been registered, how
could they possible have 500 paid-up members. Who or what, were the 500 people
supposed to become members of ? How could an entity which doesn't exist, have
500 members ? Have they really nailed these two people with a catch-22 which
will effectively stop any new political parties from being formed in Australia ?
Well, at least, any which can pull a 10% majority of the primary vote, as One
Nation did in it's last Federal Election...

So, if I am reading this right, they had over 500 supporters, then registered
the party, which would have allowed them to then accept membership, but the
reality is that because they didn't have 500 members to a non-existent party
before registration, the party has been declared as being invalid because
technically, it wasn't registered correctly ... Fucking Bizarre. She would
have got a lighter sentence if she had killed, or raped someone.

Meanwhile, a Labor luddie ( Mike Kaiser ) who has admitted committing electoral
fraud, is about to become the party's Assistant National Secretary ! Then there
are currently sitting members, abusing their position by publicly attempting to
pervert the course of Justice, with not so much as a slap on the wrist.

The current media trash is screaming about a $500,000- fraud having been
conducted by Pauline and David, yet if I understand it correctly, these funds,
were disbursed to One Nation, based on their polling at the election booth in
1998. The figure handed over to One Nation, would have been miniscule compared
to that handed over to the other parties, and I also understand that it has
since been paid back. Once again, this is due to the
"technicality" of the way
that One Nation was registered, or to be more precise, the exact day and time
that each piece of paper was lodged.

Can anyone explain how David Oldfield, who is currently a sitting member in the
NSW parliament, managed to avoid prosecution ?

Okay, so what did Pauline do which had everyone up in arms?

1 ) She suggested that refugees be given 5 year temporary visas instead of
permanent residency. At the time, Ruddock lamb-basted her as being inhumane.
Yet, now, he issues them 3 year temporary visas.

2 ) She suggested that boats be turned around at sea. Could someone please tell
me exactly what happed in August 2001 when our defence forces boarded the Tampa
?

Was this all a ruse ? Now that Pauline has been convicted of a criminal
offence, she can never stand for election to any parliament in the country.
Will she be given a time-served sentence on appeal, now that she has effectively
been neutered forever ?

In my mind, she should be given a full pardon, and released with no conviction
recorded. She's more innocent than our major parties, by miles.

Cheers, Brenton
