Got this laser printer here that's giving me some trouble... It's a Panasonic KX-P6500. First I was getting horizontal lines. I know I remember reading something in here about that, but can't remember when or who it was that posted that. Then tonight I opened the side door that gives you access to the works. The drum, fuser, etc. assembly all comes out as a single unit. So I popped this out, saw some accumulation of toner here and there (mostly at the ends of the drum), blew them out, tapped on it a bit, and put it back together. *NOW* I get big, almost all-black bands across the pages. Looking at one bit of printout I see about three or so on a page... Anybody have any suggestions for dealing with this? What's the proper way to clean one of these up? I need to print some resumes...! ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
