I think a better option for the kind of situation you're describing
would be to install a TSR like SHOWGIF. That way, whenever you d/l
an image, the TSR picks up the data stream, shows you the image and
then gets out. Now personally with GIFLink whenever I know I'll be
d/l'ing images I turn off the Auto Z-Modem Download and choose between
GIFLink or Z-Modem manually right before the transfer.
