Hi, Paul. PE> PE>> It could also be validation. I've been sent the wrong name plenty of PE> PE>> times PE> FM> Validation of what? You mean you've had req files for several different PE> FM> nodes and sent the wrong one to the wrong one? PE> I've had files called xxxxxxxx.REQ, where xxxxxxxx is not my node. There's PE> been a variety of substitutes. Most recently was up02c703.req, where PE> someone's upload directory was being put in there, due to (I think) either PE> bug in DEVIL261 or a configuration setup error, depending on what the perso PE> who wrote that code thought, and the specific behaviour of telix in that PE> situation. PE> FM> If it could be anything, it wouldn't *need* validation. PE> That's what I reckon about all validation! You run out of disk space, PE> that's your tough titties! BFN. Paul. Yeah well I don't agree on that one, because that could be outside the user's control / knowledge. But creating a rule for a data value, just so you can check that it complies with the rule, is IMHO stupid. But I've seen it done many times. :-) Regards, fIM. * * What were vices is now liberalism. @EOT: ---* Origin: Pedants Inc. (3:711/934.24) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
